Morning:

Start your adventure by catching the RER A train from Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy station, right at Disneyland Paris.

These double-decker trains run approximately every 15 minutes, and the journey to central Paris takes about 35–40 minutes. A one-way ticket costs around €7.60.

Eiffel Tower:

Arrive at Charles de Gaulle–Étoile station and transfer to Metro Line 6 (Green), heading towards Nation.

Get off at Bir-Hakeim station; from there, it’s a 10-minute walk to the Eiffel Tower along the Seine.

Aim to arrive around 9:00 AM to beat the crowds.

If you’re up for it, take the elevator to the second floor or the summit for stunning views. Remember to book tickets in advance to save time.

Louvre Museum:

After your Eiffel Tower visit, return to Bir-Hakeim station and take Metro Line 6 (Green) back to Charles de Gaulle–Étoile.

Transfer to Metro Line 1 (Yellow) towards Château de Vincennes, and get off at Palais Royal–Musée du Louvre station. The museum entrance is a short walk from the station.

The Louvre is massive, and let’s be honest, not all kids are museum enthusiasts.

If yours aren’t, no worries—just running around the glass pyramid and snapping some fun photos can be an adventure in itself!

But if you’re heading inside, focus on highlights like the Mona Lisa or the Egyptian Antiquities, be sure to book in advance here, and a guided tour can make it even more engaging.

Lunch:

For lunch, you’ve got two solid options:

Picnic in the Tuileries Garden: Just steps from the Louvre, this is the perfect spot to take a breather. Grab some sandwiches or pastries from a nearby café and enjoy a laid-back meal surrounded by gorgeous greenery.

Grab a Bite at a Bistro: Feeling like something more substantial? The area is full of bistros dishing up classic French fare—ideal if you’re ready to sit back and refuel before diving into the rest of your day.

Notre-Dame Cathedral:

From Palais Royal–Musée du Louvre station, take Metro Line 1 (Yellow) to Châtelet, and transfer to Metro Line 4 (Plum) towards Mairie de Montrouge.

Alight at Cité station; the cathedral is a 5-minute walk from there.  While the interior is currently closed for renovations, the exterior and nearby attractions like Sainte-Chapelle are worth visiting.

Seine River Cruise:

Head over to the nearby Pont Neuf (around 10 minutes) and hop on a Seine River cruise (around €17 per adult, €8 for children).

For an hour, you can sit back, relax, and take in iconic sights like the Musée d’Orsay and the Eiffel Tower—because who says sightseeing can’t be a little leisurely?

Montmartre and Sacré-Cœur:

From Pont Neuf, walk back to Châtelet station and take Metro Line 4 (Plum) towards Porte de Clignancourt.

Get off at Barbès–Rochechouart and transfer to Metro Line 2 (dark blue) towards Porte Dauphine.

Exit at Anvers station; the funicular to Sacré-Cœur is a short walk from there, slightly uphill with shops either side. There is a sweet shop on the way up, try to avoid going in altogether- it is incredibly overpriced and it cost Callum €25 for a tiny ‘Pick n Mix’.

By this point, your legs might be feeling the burn, so give them a break and hop on the €2 funicular to glide up to the Basilica of the Sacré-Cœur. From there, you’ll get stunning panoramic views of Paris that are absolutely worth it.

While exploring Montmartre, just be aware that some people might try to put bracelets on your wrist—they’ll seem friendly, but don’t be fooled. A firm, polite “no” will do the trick, so don’t worry about being too forceful!

Dinner:

For dinner, head to a traditional French restaurant in Montmartre for classics like coq au vin, or keep it casual with a crêpe from one of the many nearby crêperies.

Prefer something quick? Pop into a local café—or just hit McDonald’s if you’re craving something easy and familiar!

Return to Disneyland Paris:

After dinner, return to Anvers station, take Metro Line 2 (dark blue) to Nation station, and transfer to the RER A back to Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy.

The last RER A train departs around 12:30 AM, but schedules can vary, so check the latest timetable.

Time-Saving Tips For Paris:

Book In Advance

Save time (and your feet) by booking advance tickets for must-see attractions like the Eiffel Tower (book here) and the Louvre (book here)—skipping the queues is a game-changer.

Hop On Hop Off

If you want to cover more ground without walking everywhere, consider a hop-on hop-off bus or hop-on hop-off bus boat.

They’re a great way to see the city’s highlights quickly and offer some much-needed rest between stops. Of course, comfy shoes are still a must for when you’re exploring on foot.

Stock Up

Don’t forget to pack a water bottle and some snacks, especially if you’re with kids—keeping everyone hydrated and energized will make your day much smoother!
