Disneyland Paris for Toy Story Fans

You might not fit in Andy’s toy box, but Disneyland Paris has the next best thing for Toy Story fans!
Toy Story was my absolute favorite Disney movie growing up, so I was beyond excited to discover how much there is to enjoy here—from rides and attractions to character meet-and-greets and even a themed hotel.
Disneyland Paris for Toy Story fans is nothing short of amazing. Whether you’re a lifelong fan of Buzz and Woody or you’re introducing the next generation to Andy’s gang, there’s something here to make your trip unforgettable.
This guide will show you how to centre your visit around Toy Story, so you can make the most of every moment in the parks.

Disneyland Paris For Toy Story Fans
You might be thinking, “Surely there isn’t enough to cover an entire trip.”
While it’s true that you probably won’t fill up three days solely with Toy Story attractions, you can absolutely keep this theme at the core of your visit.
From rides and snacks to souvenirs and even where you stay, there’s plenty of Toy Story magic to enjoy.
Here’s everything Toy Story-themed at Disneyland Paris:
Stay at Hotel Cheyenne
If you’re a Toy Story fan, staying at Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne is a no-brainer. This Wild West-themed hotel brings Woody and Jessie’s world to life, with cowboy hats on the lampshades, horseshoe details, and plenty of little nods to your favorite cowboy and cowgirl.
We’ve stayed here on one of our trips, and it’s fair to say the theming was spot on—it felt like stepping into Woody’s world. Plus, if you book through Disneyland Paris directly, park tickets are included, and you can even add on a meal plan for ultimate convenience.

If you’re just after the hotel itself, there’s the option to book through third-party sites for the room only, which can sometimes save you a bit of money.
Either way, Hotel Cheyenne is a great pick for staying close to the parks without splashing all your cash. It’s also super convenient, with a quick shuttle ride to the parks or a scenic 20-minute walk if you fancy stretching your legs.
Toy Story Themed Rides at Disneyland Paris
Toy Story Playland in Walt Disney Studios Park is… insane. There’s no other word for it.
Alongside colorful decorations, giant toys, and themed photo spots, it also has some fantastic rides that make you feel like you’re part of Andy’s gang.
Here’s what you can’t miss:
Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin
A perfect pick for younger visitors or anyone looking for a gentle ride with plenty of spins. No height restriction here, making it ideal for everyone.
Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop

Ever wondered what it’s like to parachute with the Green Army Men? This ride gives you a bird’s-eye view and a bit of a rush as you’re dropped back to the ground.
There’s a height restriction of 81cm for this one, so it’s great for slightly older kids but might not suit the tiniest recruits.
RC Racer
A U-shaped roller coaster that’s a heart-pounding thrill for adrenaline lovers. This one has a height restriction of 120cm, so keep that in mind if you’re visiting with younger kids.
Pro tip: Queue early or during parade times to skip the crowds.
Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast
While it’s not part of Toy Story Playland, Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast in Disneyland Park is an unmissable adventure for any Toy Story fan.
Hop into your very own space cruiser and help Buzz take down Emperor Zurg by shooting targets along the way.

Pro tip: Aim for the smaller, harder-to-hit targets for higher points. Queues are usually shorter during parades or later in the evening, so plan your ride time accordingly.
Meet and Greets with Toy Story Characters
No Toy Story trip is complete without meeting your favorite characters. Disneyland Paris makes this super easy with regular appearances.
Prebooked Meet and Greets in Walt Disney Studios
To guarantee a meet-and-greet with Jessie and her friends, you can now prebook via the Disneyland Paris app (ensure you are checked into the Studios on the app when trying to book).

This makes it much easier to plan your day and avoid the disappointment of long queues. Keep in mind that Buzz Lightyear no longer has a regular meet-and-greet schedule, but he has been known to make occasional appearances—though this isn’t guaranteed.
Toy Soldiers in Toy Story Playland
The Toy Soldiers are always a hit, often marching through Toy Story Playland and interacting with guests.
Whether they’re posing for photos or showing off their impressive drills, they’re a fantastic addition to the area’s playful atmosphere.
Parades Featuring Toy Story Characters
One of the best ways to see Toy Story characters in action is during the Parade.
Woody, Jessie, and Buzz Lightyear all feature prominently on their very own float, decked out with colorful decorations inspired by Andy’s backyard.

The parade is full of energy, music, and dancing, and it’s a great way to see the characters without needing to queue for a meet-and-greet.
Pro tip: Check the daily schedule in the Disneyland Paris app for parade times and grab a spot early for the best view.
Toy Story-Themed Dining
While there aren’t specific Toy Story-themed restaurants, there are plenty of ways to keep the theme alive while dining at Disneyland Paris.
A top pick is Cowboy Cookout Barbecue in Frontierland, which perfectly captures Woody’s Western world with its hearty meals like ribs, grilled chicken, and corn on the cob. It’s a great spot to refuel.

For a quick snack, the carts near Toy Story Playland offer treats like ice creams and churros, perfect for keeping energy levels up during your adventure.
And don’t miss the Buzz Lightyear éclair, a fun and delicious nod to everyone’s favorite space ranger, available at select snack spots in the park.
Shopping for Toy Story Souvenirs
If you’re a Toy Story fan, grabbing some themed goodies is a must at Disneyland Paris!
The World of Disney Store in Disney Village is the go-to spot for all the classics, like plushies, T-shirts, and action figures. If you’re after something more unique, the boutique near Toy Story Playland has merch tied to the rides, including RC Racer gear and Toy Soldiers collectibles.

For budget-friendly options, you can’t go wrong with keychains or pins—they’re small, easy to pack, and won’t cost you a fortune. And if you’re looking for something a little different, keep an eye out for the Buzz Lightyear coin.
You’ll usually find it in the shop next to Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast or, oddly enough, in the Pirates of the Caribbean shop. A bit random, but worth hunting down for a fun souvenir!
How to Get the Full Toy Story Experience
Want to go all-in on your Toy Story-themed day? Here are some fun ways to make it extra special:
Dress the part
Disneybounding as Woody, Buzz, or Jessie is a fun way to stay on theme without needing a full costume. Think cowboy boots and a plaid shirt for Woody or a space-themed outfit for Buzz.
If you’re traveling with kids, Amazon is a fantastic place to find Toy Story costumes that are budget-friendly and easy to pack—perfect for turning little ones into their favorite characters.
For something more subtle, grab a pair of Toy Story-themed Mickey ears here before your trip—they’re cute, practical, and great for photos.
Photo spots
Make time to snap some iconic photos around the parks. The giant Buzz Lightyear statue in Toy Story Playland is a must, and the wooden gates near Cars Road Trip are another great spot to keep the theme alive.

These backdrops add an extra touch of Toy Story magic to your pictures, and they’re perfect for the ‘Gram!
Disney PhotoPass
If you’re meeting characters like Jessie or the Toy Soldiers, Disney PhotoPass photographers are there to capture every smile and pose.
It’s a great way to ensure you get high-quality photos without the stress of trying to take them yourself. They’ll give you a card to scan so you can access all your pictures in one place later.
Why Toy Story at Disneyland Paris Is Worth It
Disneyland Paris has so much Toy Story magic that it’s hard not to feel like part of Andy’s gang. From the rides to the little details in the décor, it’s a must for any fan.
I’m already counting down the days until May when I can go back and do it all over again—maybe even squeeze in a few more trips on RC Racer.
So, pack your cowboy hat or space suit and get ready for a trip that’ll have you saying, “To Disneyland and beyond!
